Dr. Mary Rose Ramirez, MD

Rose Dermatology Founder & Board-Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Mary Rose Ramirez is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and lifelong San Antonio resident. She earned her Bachelor's degree at the University of Texas at Austin, her Master's at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center, and her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She completed a preliminary internal medicine internship at the University of New Mexico, where she was named Preliminary Intern of the Year, followed by a Dermatology residency at Duke University, serving as Chief Resident in her final year.
Dr. Ramirez has presented at numerous national conferences and authored multiple peer-reviewed articles. She completed specialized training in cosmetic and procedural dermatology, including tumescent liposuction and SmartLipo, and has been recognized with the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery Resident Scholarship. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Texas Medical Association.
Her clinical expertise includes surgical dermatology, skin cancer prevention and treatment, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Ramirez is committed to providing patient-centered, high-quality care and maintaining clear communication with referring providers to ensure coordinated, seamless patient management.

Sara Kerstetter
Board-Certified Physician Assistant
Sara Kerstetter is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) with extensive clinical experience in dermatology.
Sara is skilled in managing a wide range of dermatologic conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer screenings, and cosmetic procedures such as injectables, laser treatments, and microneedling. She is committed to providing patient-centered care and works closely with Dr. Ramirez to ensure seamless communication with referring providers, delivering timely updates and coordinated care for every patient.

Licensed Aesthetician
Denise Downs is a licensed aesthetician in medical aesthetics and a certified yoga instructor. She specializes in sensitive skin treatments, emphasizing patient safety and personalized care.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Denise ensures patients feel comfortable and supported. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, writing, and spending time with her son.
